Vocational training via the Employment Service
The Employment Service funds vocational training for the unemployed and for workers wanting to retrain. Selected participants receive training vouchers and choose programmes on the Kursuok.lt platform. During training a monthly stipend of 3.53 EUR per attended hour is paid (or you may keep the unemployment benefit if higher). Travel to the school, accommodation in another town and the mandatory health check are covered on top.

Step by step
Register and discuss the plan
Register with UŽT (at a branch or via the e-government gateway) and discuss retraining with a career consultant — it must be part of your individual employment plan.
Get the voucher and pick a programme
Selected participants receive a training voucher; the programme is chosen on Kursuok.lt after registering there. Formal programmes end with a state vocational diploma, non-formal ones with a certificate.
Study and receive the support
The stipend is 3.53 EUR per attended hour, paid monthly by attendance (or keep the unemployment benefit instead). UŽT also covers travel, accommodation in another town and the mandatory health check. After finishing you must work in the qualification for at least 6 months.
